Our six-step program to lush lawns
In addition to basic lawn care, Grass Groomers offers a six-step program that will help you fix problem areas and grow a lush, beautiful lawn. As a state of Illinois certified turf professional, we recommended the following plan:
Early Spring
We encourage healthy growth and apply crabgrass control to your lawn.
Spring
We begin by feeding your lawn essential nutrients that give density and color, and we treat weeds to halt their growth.
Early Summer
We prepare your lawn for the upcoming heat with fertilization and recommended watering adjustments.
Late Summer
Light fertilizer is applied to maintain the beautiful color without more growth.
Early Fall
We treat weeds again and fertilize your lawn once more. This helps to rebound from the summer heat. The fertilizer acts as a recovery that helps your lawn prosper throughout the winter months.
Late Fall/Winter
We use a winterizer to help promote food storage and root growth. This keeps your lawn healthy throughout the winter.
